ALBUM RELEASE - Misty Mountains: Songs Inspired by The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings

Misty Mountains, opens with “I See Fire,” Ed Sheeran’s hit theme for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. I ordered the album to play through a series of well-known songs from the beloved Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films, composed by Neil Finn, Enya, Annie Lennox, and Howard Shore. “Song of the Lonely Mountain,” “May It Be,” and “Into the West”, are just a few of the songs included on the new album (full tracklisting below). I thought this would flow really well together!

The album also features contributions from guest artists like Tim Foust (!!) of a cappella group Home Free and a winner of NBC’s The Sing-Off, violinist and fellow YouTube star Taylor Davis (“I See Fire”, “May It Be”), plus musician and YouTube vlogger Hank Green, known for the his channel vlogbrothers (“Hobbit Drinking Medley”).

I get asked a lot “What’s your favorite song you’ve done?”, and although it’s extremely hard for me to choose, I’ve never enjoyed singing as much if it weren’t for these beautiful, gorgeous tunes found in the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit series. I love it all so much! BUT, it wouldn’t have been a reality for me if it weren’t for all of you, my awesome supporters! You honestly help me uncover my passion for singing beautiful songs by telling me, “Hey! you should sing this one!”. And now I hope you all understand why I really do value your suggestions. Thank you all SO MUCH! You mean the world to me!!
