Greensleeves is one of the most popular traditional English folk songs. It was great to work with my good friend Tim Foust again!

The legend of this song: There is a persistent belief that Greensleeves was composed by Henry VIII for his lover and future queen consort Anne Boleyn. Boleyn allegedly rejected King Henry’s attempts to seduce her and this rejection may be referred to in the song when the writer’s love “cast me off discourteously”. Anne’s nick name around court was green sleeves. Copies of the poem by Henry is in museum in London tower.
